There is a one week break between lectures 5 and 6. For students who need a grade for the course, the requirement is a paper on a topic related to the material covered in lectures 1-5 (minimum 5 pages, maximum 10 pages). It would be advisable to work on it during the break; it must be turned in by Wednesday, 31 July, in order for me to read them and turn in the grades by the end of the Summer School.
