Kurzbeschreibung des Projektes / Short description of the Project

This project aims to reveal the links between structural realism on the one hand and reductive and unification relations on the other. The conjecture is that where there are structural correspondence relations between theories, one also finds reductive and unification relations of certain kind. The project is carried out under the auspices of the umbrella project 'Aspects and Prospects of Realism in the Philosophy of Science and Mathematics' based at the Department of Philosophy, History and Theory of Science at the University of Athens. The umbrella project is headed by Stathis Psillos and funded by the European Union and the Greek Government. My duties involve frequent visits to the University of Athens.
