Student Symposium for a Critical Approach to the “Comfort Women” Issue

on July 11 and 12, 2019
at the Heinrich Heine University and the Haus der Universität in Düsseldorf.

Film screening
We are pleased to welcome the Japanese-American director Miki Dezaki to our symposium, who will present his film „Shusenjo: The Main Battleground of the Comfort Women Issue“ on the afternoon of July 11th (building 22.01, HS 2B). After the screening, you will have the opportunity to talk to the director in person.

Student Symposium
On July 12th we will meet at the Haus der Universität (http://www.hdu.hhu.de/en.html), where the students will present the results of their critical engagement with the so-called „comfort women“ issue.
