Der Bericht gibt einen möglichst detaillierten Überblick zur Fachinformation in Ungarn. Wir skizzieren die ungarische Informations- und Bibliothekspolitik, die Geschichte der Fachinformation in der sozialistischen Ära, die Informationsinfrastruktur (besonders das Informations-Infrastruktur-Entwicklungsprogramm IIF), die Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten an Universitäten (auch in Hinblick auf neue Curricula), die Produktion ungarischer Datenbanken (Wirtschaftsinformationen: STADAT, KOPINFO ECO-NINFO, SzÜV company databases; Rechtsinformationen: §-Kartoték; wissenschaftlich-technische Informationen: HRDINS, HRDIS, Hunpadoc; Online-Bibliothekskataloge) sowie die Datenbanknutzung (Online, Broadcasting Services; CD-ROM, Videotex, Teletext).

The report provides a specified survey of the information industry in Hungary. It discusses Hungarian information and library policy, history of information industry in the socialist era, infrastructure (with special attention in the information infrastructure development IIF), education ate universities, databases production (business and economic information: STADAT, KOPINFO ECO-NINFO, SzÜV company databases; legal information: §-Kartoték; scientific-technical information: HRDINS, HRDIS, Hunpadoc; online library catalogues) and database use (online, broadcasting services; CD-ROM, videotex, teletext).
