Back to the roots

The Hiss & Boo Company was founded in winter 1989 / 1990 by Anne-Frances Bulmer, a lector of English at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. The group performed plays like The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde (1996), The Crucible by Arthur Miller (2000) and Henna Nights and Bash   (2005).
As Ms. Bulmer retired in 2006, there had to be some re-structuring. Sharlene Anders, who had joined the old Hiss & Boo Company before, took over the group as new producer, director and dramatic advisor - Hiss + Boo reloaded was born.
he young company's successful debut The Nailing of Endgame inspired by Samuel Beckett's Endgame, which was performed in November 2006 at the HHU Düsseldorf, made the four actors (Kerry, Markus, Nadine and Anna, ), the helping hands behind the scenes (Nina, Kervin and Christina) and the lovely director grow together.
