- In July 20111, the Collaborative Research Centre 991 (SFB 991) on "The Structure of Representation in Language, Cognition and Science" has started; for a short description confer the press release. The CRC 991 also includes the Integrated Research Traning Group ("Integriertes Graduiertenkolleg") SToRE that I am in charge of as its Scientific Coordinator; the Program Coordinator Dr. Corinna Kaiser takes care of all organisational and logistic duties.
- The research group "Construction Grammar of German" has now its own website where new events, publications etc. will be announced.
- I have received the "Preis für Geisteswissenschaften" ("Price for Sciences of Art") awarded by the Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Göttingen ("Academy of Sciences", Göttingen). - In October 2010, a DFG project coordinated by myself and Martin Wengeler (Trier) has started its work. On the basis of a large text corpus comprising 9.000 texts, it aims at investigating linguistic construals of post-war 'crises' in Germany.
