The train runs in 10-minute intervals from Monday to Friday, otherwise at least in 20- minute intervals. Board the train on the square in front of the main station, platform 7. Descend at the terminal stop called Uni-Ost/Botanischer Garten. Journey time approximately 20 minutes
Subway U79:
Line U79 runs in 10-minute intervals from Monday to Friday, otherwise at least twice an hour. Board the train on the subway station inside the main station.
Descend at the terminal stop called Uni-Ost/Botanischer Garten. Journey time approximately 12 minutes.
After having descended from the train or subway at the terminal stop, head straight and turn left before you reach the library. Go down the stairs. The secretary's office of the linguistics department is housed in the new office building to the right, i.e. building 24.53
From the train station in Duesseldorf Bilk (a stop for trains S8 and S11)
Take train 707 towards university and descend at the terminal stop (see above).
Alternatively, take bus 835 towards Duesseldorf Holthausen or Reisholz 836 (towards "In der Steele"), which runs every 20 minutes Monday to Friday. Descend at the stop Universität Mitte. Journey time approximately 10 minutes.
After having descended from the train, continue past the pond and upwards the slight gradient. Pass the library to your right, turn right and go down the stairs. Our office is housed in the new office building to the right, i.e. building 24.53.
From Duesseldorf Volksgarten and Duesseldorf Flingern (via trains S6 and S7 and S8 respectively)
Neuss-Norf (S11)
The bus 827 runs Monday to Friday every 20 minutes. Board bus 827 towards Duesseldorf Südfriedhof and descend at bus stop Universität Mitte

By car
Via the motorway A46 coming from the east
Leave the motorway A46 at the juncture Wersten/ Universität and turn left at the first major traffic light onto the main street (Universitätsstraße). Continue on this street until you have reached the parking lot P2. Good luck finding a parking space!
Via the motorway A46 coming from Duesseldorf Westen
Leave the motorway A46 at the juncture Benrath/ Universtität, which is right after the bridge Rheinbrücke. You are then on the street Münchener Strasse, which you leave at the next juncture towards the university and then turn right onto Universitätsstrasse. Continue towards parking lot P2. Good luck finding a parking space!
