Mailing list "SEMANTIK"

The mailing list "semantik"

• distributes informations concerning semantics and neighbouring disciplines (computer linguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis etc.)
  about conferences, summer schools, publications, jobs and scholarships at universities and research institutes
   
• can be used by all members as a free platform for discussion

The mailing list is operated by list-owner Sebastian Löbner .
The informations distributed are mainly taken from LINGUIST List. Please fell free to contribute other informations yourself.

As a member

• you receive the list mails
   
• you can send your own contributions to the list directly and without delay (e.g. questions, infos for all, personal statements etc.)
   
• you can obtain a list of the list members.

 
How to subscribe

Send a mail to the list server

semantik-request AT uni-duesseldorf.de

with the word subscribe in the Subject line or as a complete line of the message itself.

You will then be enlisted with the email address from which you sent this mail (to be precise, you will be enlisted with the address specified as "reply-to" in the head of your mail). This is the address the "semantik" mails will be sent to. Please, make sure you're sending the subscription request from the right address.

In case your address in the list becomes invalid, the list-owner receives a 'bounce' report each time the server tries to send a mail to you. If this continues for 2 weeks or more, your entry is deleted from the list without notice (which would be impossible, because your address became invalid ...).
 

 
How to unsubscribe

Send a mail to the list server

semantik-request AT uni-duesseldorf.de

with the word unsubscribe in the Subject line or as a complete line of the message itself.

Your address entry in the list will then be deleted - if the request is sent from this address (to be precise: if this address is specified as "reply-to" in the head of the mail). 

 
How to change your address in the list

Send a mail to the list-owner letting him change the address for you.

 
How to send your own contribution to the list

Simply send your mail to the list address:

At present, there is only a German version of the site; an English version is under construction.
